Welcome to Calm Space Psychology. A therapeutic haven dedicated to infusing calm into your mind, body and life with a proven approach to sleeping and living well.
Calm Space is led by Brooke Michell, experienced psychologist, paediatric sleep specialist and mother of 4.
We are based in Adelaide and remain committed to sharing our philosophy on mindful wellbeing with Australia and the world by offering a suite of professional therapy experiences both in the Calm Space clinic and online. A fulfilling, meaningful and well-rested life is possible for parents, children and professionals.
Sleep Support
For newborns, toddlers and teenagers, sleep is our specialty. Our responsive and proactive approach to improving sleep acknowledges that the skill of sleep is a basic human need fundamental to creating a life-long, contented mind space.
Paediatric Clinical Counselling
One-on-one in-clinic or online clinical counselling to help children uncover, understand and untangle individual emotions and behaviours. Our wholistic approach combines modern, psychological inquiry with scientifically validated research which is presented in a completely personalised path to sustained mental wellness to benefit the whole family.
Education Sessions
Customised training sessions for corporates, community groups and schools who seek to share an evidence-based approach to sleeping, living and working well with their people. Revolutionise productivity and focus in your organisation or inspire school-aged children with caring advice and practical steps for getting a good night’s sleep.
Calm Space Psychology offers hope and strategy by helping you establish a platform for fundamental wellness that crosses mind and body through sleep. The flexible application of our method allows your personal context to be thoughtfully taken into consideration as we seek a perpetual life-ready state together.
Brooke combines a Masters of Clinical Psychology from the University of South Australia with an in-depth understanding of human behaviour, earned through dedicated professional training with Professor Sarah Bluden as well as extensive personal experience, to promote a calm approach to sleeping and living well. Brooke also recently completed certification in ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) and believes this is an extremely useful approach to support people in building a fulfilling and meaningful life.
